“78 Roses” – Memorial series of concerts: 78 years after

For the third time, Primafila was involved in organising memorial concerts for the cultures threatened during the Holocaust: In September 2023, representatives of Roma, Sinti, Yeniche and Jewish cultures as well as a rapper with disabilities sang and recited together in the cloisters of Schaffhausen, Lucerne, St. Gallen and Zurich. A highlight of the “78 Roses” concerts was the Roma anthem Djelem-Djelem, which was sung and played across cultures and languages. This concert series – characterised by moments of reflection, its joie de vivre and a spirit of reconciliation – takes pride in its high musical and cultural standard and is held every year in September. In no small part, this is thanks to the considerable support of its funding bodies (foundations, organisations, public authorities). Planning for the concert series “79 Roses” for September 2024 has already started.
